This mermaid set of tarot cards is simply called "Mermaid Tarot" by Leeza Robertson and the illustrations are by Julie Dillon. The box opens like a book with a flap opening on the left and has a magnetic strip to hold it closed. There is also a cute little fish at the bottom of the box underneath the cards. Enclosed firstly you'll find the guide which is a good size with lots of clear information and even coloured pictures which is rare for a tarot guide book.

    Mermaid Tarot

The cards are housed underneath the book. The cards seem durable and not too flimsy. To the back of the cards is a swirling piece of seaweed that circles around in the sunlight, its a pretty design. The cards feature a whimsical, mythical look to the mermaids, there is fair amount of detailing and it is lovely to see diversity in the mermaid cards. There is a lot of mermen in the cards which is great to sea that merfolk are no just women.

    Mermaid Tarot

With these cards it's like the underwater world and the world above the surface are one. There is even one card which depicts a scuba diver surrounded by merfolk. The use of cups in the mermaid world is wonderful and quite ingenius. There are no borders on the front's or the back's of the cards either.

    Mermaid Tarot The Hermit

You could imagine these images as stand alone art work pieces. The overall vibe is very dream like. Some of the images however provide a limited version of the key word which can make readings a little tricky especially with the minor arcana.

    Mermaid Tarot Seaweed

    Pros
    • Lots of merfolk, not just mermaids but mermen too
    • Beautiful quality illustrations
    • Cards not to thin or flimsy
    • Cards are borderless
    • Come is a sturdy presentation box
    • Key words clear to read
    Cons
    • Some illustrations show limited meaning to the key words
    Verdict

This is a beautiful set of mermaid tarot cards, incredible variety of illustrations depicting the underwater world and interacting with the world above, again even if some cards give enough detail to demonstrate the card its suppose to, these cards are a great deck of mermaid cards to use.

Oracle of the Mermaids is a set of oracle cards with a lovely mermaid theme. The set has been created by Lucy Cavendish and Selena Fenech. It comes in a hard card box. This is a blue angel publishing deck of cards. There is a lovely detailing to the back of the box that really draws you into discovering more about this oracle deck. The box is pretty snug, keeping your cards safe and tidy inside.

The guide book included is a pretty thick book full of information about your new oracle cards and how to use them, the pictures of the cards a quite small though. As oracle cards these are free thinking and fluid motion cards to use how you wish but the book does give you guidance and suggestions.

There are 45 illustrated cards, the cards are a pretty good size, on the larger side but still can be grasped in the palm of your hand. To the back of the cards is a pretty mermaid swirling in the sea. Each cards illustration are quite mystical, some even with mermaids looking deep back at you, possibly a little lack of diversity in the cards, many of the mermaids like similar. The cards front illustrations also have a bold white border around them. The cards have a very glossy nature, which you might like or dislike depending on your preference. There is something about the illustrations that really draws you into the mermaid's faces. I would rather that the cards were numbers, I feel this helps me especially in case I've lost one. There is just something about this mermaid deck of cards that feels a little more connected to vanity, with the mermaids looking more like pictures of models having photo shoots on the beach that that of beautiful yet fiesty sea dwellers. Some of the cards are even a little cartoon like.

Oracle of the Mermaids: Magical Messages of Healing, Love & Romance

    Pros
    • Filled with mermaids, mermaids on every card
    • Mermaids are all very pretty
    • Mystical feel
    • Large in size
    • Easy to use
    • Comes in a durable box
    Cons
    • The mermaids are a little cartoon like in some
    • Some also look like models rather than mermaids
    • Large cards could be too big for you
    Verdict

This is a decent set of mermaid oracle cards, mystical, beautiful mermaids just maybe too must focus on the beauty of the mermaids than the symbolism and the meaning of the cards.

The Whispers of the Ocean tarot cards bring the ocean to your tarot readings. The cards are a collaboration between Angela Hartfield and artist Ekaterina Golovanova. The card reading allows you to delve under the surface of the water for clarity, purpose and strength. The cards include playful dolphins, regenrative starfish, beatitful seahorses and others. The artwork is a wonderful digital art piece on each card. The aquatic illustrations are well done showing of the vibrancy and bustling life of the underwater world.

The box has a  hard cardboard box with a matt finish and a lid that lifts of, this is a much more protective box than a thin slip out cardboard box. To the back of the box is also quite a lot of detail about the deck and has a few coloured pictures of some of the cards included. The guidebook included has 123 pages to it, with a lovely intro to the front of the book that talks about life beginning in the ocean. There is also a full description of what each card means. The pictures of each card when explained in the book is actually black and white rather than colour.

Being an Oracle set of cards rather than tarot this means its p to the author to create the vocabulary and system they want from the cards making this more of a free thinking and therefore i'ts important you really resonate with the deck of cards and what they symbolise for you to to buy them. There is no major or minor arcana. and there are 50 cards in total.

The deck of cards has a matt finish, isn't to thin and is easy to shuffle. A lot of oracle cards are glossy but it is nice these are matt as they feel velvet. To the back of the cards is a gorgeous underwater scene featuring turtles. Now if you and not only a mermaid fan but a lover of turtles then you will love these! In fact if you love any marine creature in general you will love these. The back of the cards also has a border around the illustration of turtles. What is also nice is the design on the back also matches the first front of the card you pick up too. One of the most beautiful cards is "Dancing in the Rainbow" and features a dolphin with a beautiful rainbow through most of the card, its so pretty.

The key words are easy to read and under each key word is a small description that gives you a brief summary of what is talk about in more detail in the guide book. This helps to make the cards easy enough to use without the guide if your not a beginner. Most descriptions will also beautifully match the illustration of the card and behaviour of the animals on the card.

    Pros
    • Wonderful oracle cards
    • All about the underwater world
    • You'll want to check each card out as soon as you get it
    • Exquiste art work
    • Easy to use and shuffle
    • Matt finish
    • Small helpful description on each card
    • Durable oracle box
    Cons
    • If your after tarot cards these are actually oracle cards
    • You may need to go swim in the sea once you see these!
    Verdict

This is an real glimpse into the underwater world as well as your own connections to the ocean and how they work with your inner self, its excellent quality, durable and they are easy to use again and again.

This mermaid tarot reading set comes as a set of 78 cards. Each card has been beautifully illustrated by Jane Delaford-Taylor. The art work features ocean-themed designs of mermaids , mermen and seas creatures. It comes in a small sized cardboard box that houses both the cards and a guidance book. Which is great so it means that you can carry this little box with you and the book can easily come too. There are illustrations on the major and me

This card deck is good for beginners. The cards are each particularly whimsical and colourful, on many cards the name is relatable and even on ones that are more difficult to tell the key word is written clearly on the card. You'll also notice alot of the colouring is blue, pink, purple tones which are such fitting colours for mermaid tarot cards too. The illustrations are very much of a tropical water environment rather than the colder northern hemisphere. I would say to some degree the designs are lacking a bit of detail to them. The back of the cards is also beautiful, it looks like ocean waves with a sunset in the background.

    Jayne Wallace Oceanic Tarot Cards

This set of ocean themed tarot cards also come with a 64 page booklet that helps you to understand the cards more, and how to lay that out which is especially helpful for beginners. This set is actually quite a good set for beginners except for the minor arcana having little illustrations although they do still have the keywords on the cards. These cards are resonably priced for what you get.

This mermaid tarot card deck called "Tarot of Mermaids. This is a set of full size 78 tarot reading cards. The cards are from Lo Scarabeo and are thin but can handing a little bend making them durable and the finish is nice. It comes in a small thin card box to keep them in, it is only thin box and therefore can easily become worn before you even start using your set. On the back of the cards are ocean waves, making this straight away an ocean themed pack of tarot cards.

The artwork featured on the front tarot cards is by Mauro de Luca, it has a very mystical feel to it. It is whimsical but the colours are slightly muted rather than vibrant and bright.  The colour palette is very dreamy which works so well with the ethereal illustrated image created. It almost provides quite a restful calming nature about the cards. Another great aspect is there are no repeats every card is a new piece of art work making this a really special card deck.

The artwork is beautiful and correlates to the key words well, the fool you see as a mermaid in sea smiling with a jester's hat on. Interestingly the lovers card even has three mermaids on it. You can also see the expressions of the mermaids faces well on quite a few of the cards. There are beautiful illustrations on both the major arcana and the minor arcana which is fantastic and some decks focus on the major arcana. The minor arcana are counted in sea items such as shells are chalice, tridents are sword, oars are wands and pentacles are pearls, the labelling however is for the "pentacles" for example which means as you'll not see any  pentacles there it is a little confusing at first but once you know your deck of cards you'll be fine.

Each card is labelled clearly with a key word but also with the keyword in four different languages below it. So with English on the top of the card, you have Spanish, French, Italian and German below it which makes it great for if you like to take your tarot cards abroad or if you enjoy learning languages.

    Pros
    • Stunning mystical artwork
    • Mermaids everywhere!!
    • No cards the same
    • Nice finish to them
    • Beautiful back of card
    • Great for travel
    • Card key words in 5 different languages
    • Artwork illustrations on both the major and minor arcana
    • Great value for money
    Cons
    • Box can arrive tatty
    • The minor labelling can confuse beginners
    Verdict

There are so many magical things to say about this tarot set, from the stunning illustrations that differ on every card, to the inclusive nature of the cards in five language and don't get me started on how wonderfully in tune with mermaids these are. This truely is a top set for mermaids.
